Saturn was in the sign of Pisces when I was born. When it reached it’s 13th degree, I came out into the world, making contact with this energy for the first time.
Saturn returned to me at 29. I understood very little about it’s return right up until it was exact my degree. Generous isn’t the word I would usually use with Saturn, but mine is Jupiterian, so it’s understandable I feel that way.
I learned about the limits of my body over the past 2 years. By the time transiting Saturn was directly on my natal degree, my health and routines were spotlighted in a big way. Saturn sits in my 6th house with my Sun (WHS), and no wonder that my identity also underwent a proxy transformation throughout this period.
What I learned about Saturn was simple. Saturn creates the box. Saturn understands the box, demarcates the box, provides sturdiness and structure for the box. sometimes the box is a building. Or land. Skin. The thing that houses. The thing that provides structure. Surface. Limit. That’s Saturn.
Pisces is the dream. The fantasy, the imagination, the illusion. The vison. A magical prophet. My box has beautiful dreams. I needed to know this — and then one more thing. The 13 degree is one of action. Ruled by Mars’ Aries, it imbues my Pisces Saturn with purpose. We’re here to do things with our box of dreams.
I feel very lucky with this placement because i get a combination of water (pisces), earth & air (Saturn), and fire (13 degree Aries). It feels like there’s some balance.
There is a clear limit to my body, to my mind, to my senses. But my imagination is free. And I can do anything. My dreams will always submit to what my body can do, and what my mind can envision. I now understand the role the 6th house plays in my life. My Sun and Saturn share this home. I take care of it by attending to my health, so I have ability to create what we imagine, through routines that serve me first, so i can then be of service to all who depend on my calling. A truly benevolent Saturn Return.
